The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce presented 20 local high school seniors with scholarships at the annual Scholarship Luncheon on Wednesday, July 10th at Anheuser Busch Conference Center – 1 Soccer Park Road, Fenton. This year’s scholarship recipients include: Alexandra Adams from Rockwood Summit, Joshua Allen from Fox High School, Sarah Courtney Battelle from Rockwood Summit, Kelsey Battelle from Rockwood Summit, Kaelin Brueseke from Rockwood Summit, Sean Clancy from Rockwood Summit, Rachel Ess from Fox High School, Clint Grobelny from Northwest High School, Valerie Iannazzo from Rockwood Summit, Austin Martin from Rockwood Summit, Brendan McClew from Rockwood Summit, Kelly Nuetzel from Rockwood Summit, Alina Povarich from Northwest High School, Jeffrey Roethemeyer from Rockwood Summit, Rebecca Schreiber from Northwest High School, Nicole Sparks from Rockwood Summit, Vidhan Srivastava from Lindbergh High School, Jaime Staengel from Rockwood Summit, Ralph Turner from Rockwood Summit and Alexandria Watson from Rockwood Summit. Alexandria Adams (not pictured) was awarded the 2013 Ginny Goede Scholarship, in honor of long-time Chamber member Ginny Goede of The Jewelry Connection, for her dedication to helping others as well as her passion for service and giving back to the community. Alina Povarich received a scholarship provided by Lori St. Clair of On Target Bookkeeping Services and Nicole Sparks received a scholarship provided by Bill Hoefer; both were donated at the annual FACC Dinner Auction.
Members of the Fenton Chamber, along with the high school seniors and their families, were in attendance to honor the outstanding achievements of these scholars from the 63026 zip code. This event was sponsored by Edward Jones – Sean C. King. The ceremony was kicked off with a few words from Kelly Moore, Systems Engineer at The Boeing Company and Rockwood Summit graduate. Scholars were then awarded with a declaration of their achievements, courtesy of Missouri House Representative Mike Leara.
