The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce presented 13 local high school seniors with scholarships at the annual Scholarship Luncheon on Wednesday, June 7th at Andre’s Banquets & Catering at Sunset Hills Golf Course. Since 1987, the Fenton Chamber has had the privilege of awarding 335 high school graduates with over $275,000 in scholarship funds to further their education. The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce presented 12 local high school seniors with scholarships at the annual Scholarship Luncheon on Wednesday, July 6th at Andre’s West Banquet Center in Fenton, Missouri. Since 1987, the Fenton Chamber has had the privilege of awarding 322 high school graduates with over $260,000 in scholarship funds to further their education.
The Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce presented 12 local high school seniors with scholarships at the annual Scholarship Luncheon on Wednesday, July 2nd at Andre’s West Banquet Center in Fenton, Missouri. This year’s scholarship recipients include: from Rockwood Summit, Shawn Cole, Allison Gacioch, Mallory Greaves, Megan Jerger, Katie Repko, Emily Van de Riet and Hannah Weber; from Ursuline Academy, Abigail Adams and Morgan Diffley; from Lutheran South High School, Lauren Adler; and from St. Louis University High School, Marcus Ramspott and Joe Reichold. Lauren Adler was awarded the 2014 Ginny Goede Scholarship, in honor of long-time Chamber member Ginny Goede of The Jewelry Connection, for her dedication to helping others as well as her passion for service and giving back to the community. Members of the Fenton Chamber, along with the high school seniors and their families, were in attendance to honor the outstanding successes and accomplishments of these scholars from the 63026 zip code. This event was sponsored by Edward Jones – Sean C. King. Awards were presented by Sean King and Ginny Goede as the honors and achievements of each scholar were announced to attendants. Missouri House Representative Mike Leara then awarded scholars with a special declaration certificate, recognizing their receipt of a Fenton Chamber Scholarship. Each year, the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in the 63026 zip code and plan to attend a college, university, technical or trade school. Since 1989, the Fenton Chamber has distributed more than $232,500 in awards to 295 area high school graduates.
This year’s scholarship recipients include: from Rockwood Summit, Shawn Cole, Allison Gacioch, Mallory Greaves, Megan Jerger, Katie Repko, Emily Van de Riet and Hannah Weber; from Ursuline Academy, Abigail Adams and Morgan Diffley; from Lutheran South High School, Lauren Adler; and from St. Louis University High School, Marcus Ramspott and Joe Reichold. Scholarship recipients will be recognized at a special banquet luncheon on Wednesday, July 2nd at Andre’s West Banquet Center – 211 South Old Highway 141 in Fenton. Members of the Fenton Chamber, along with the high school seniors and their families, will join to honor the outstanding achievements of these scholars. The FACC will award $12,000 in scholarship funds to chosen applicants. it is only due to the wonderful support from Chamber members and the community that the Fenton Chamber is able to offer these scholarships each year. To date, the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce has distributed more than $220,000 in scholarships to 283 high school graduates in the 63026 zip code.
New this year, the Scholarship Application is available online via Scholarship Central. A link can be found via the Chamber website or click on the logo below. In addition to the FACC Scholarship, students may also find other available scholarship opportunities in the area through this database. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who plan to attend a college, university, technical, or trade school. All applicants must reside in the 63026 zip code which includes the City of Fenton, Unincorporated St. Louis County, and Unincorporated Jefferson County. Sean King with Edward Jones and Ginny Goede with The Jewelry Connection followed with the scholarship presentations. To conclude, Representative Mike Leara and Representative John McCaherty awarded each of the scholars with a declaration of their achievements. |
