New Driver's Licenses

To get a new driver's license you must provide social security card, proof of identity (and if under 18 years of age, original birth certificate.)

Go to a Missouri Highway Patrol License Testing Station (which is also a MO Department of Revenue office) to take a driver's license test. The closest offices to Fenton are as follows:

New State Residents

To get license plates do the following:

1. If there is a lien against your vehicle, first apply for a title transfer at any of the Missouri Department of Revenue branches or agencies. The closest ones are listed above under the New Driver's License section.
2. To get a personal property tax waiver, take your title or out-of-state registration to a county government center in the county which you reside.
   The closest St. Louis county office is St. Louis Government Center, South, 4546 Lemay Ferry Road (in Keller Plaza) 314-615-4101. Jefferson County residents must ge a waiver at the Jefferson County Courthouse 636-797-5555.
3. Go to an approved station and have your car inspected.
4. Take your tax waiver and inspection to Missouri Department of Revenue branch listed below to get new license plates.
